Stick with the ones that saw your potential when the whole world counted you out.

Building a company from scratch can be tiring.

Constantly caring for people and things can be tiring.

Showing up every day can be tiring.

But when actually care for something from the depth of your heart, it becomes easier. In fact, it’s the first thing you’d want to do—the first thing in your mind when you wake up.

Care For Your People to Make Great Things Unfold

At work, I care about my team the most. That’s because we spend almost half of our day together. And I have spent years with them. And I care a lot about them. They are like my own brothers and sisters. That’s one of the reasons why we all get along so well.

So, what is the one common quality every team member should have?

  1. Honesty
  2. Willingness to learn
  3. Humility
  4. Focused

What do you think?

But Why Should I Care…

In my opinion, we shouldn’t treat people as one-size-fits-all. Everyone is unique in their own way. Maybe we don’t have anything common between us, but when we work with someone for a long time, we imbibe their skills or characteristics within us.

If you hire people with a common trait or skill in your mind, you’re making a grave mistake.

The key is to hire people from different cultures, mindsets, regions, etc.

By doing that you’re giving space for productive conflicts to invent new ideas.

If everyone has the same opinion on a problem, will you find the solution?

But there is one thing that is common in every team member which makes them a team player.

What according to you should it be?

For me, it’s transparency. Trust. I want to work with people I can trust. I am an emotional person and also sensitive to emotions. So these things matter to me. People who work honestly will help you in your darkest hours no matter what. They won’t look at the time on the clock, but show up if you need them. And that will happen only when they care for you.

From childhood till the time I have a child of my own, I have realised that people who selflessly stand by your side are the ones with a heart of gold. Those who keep pushing you and showing faith in you to do incredible things in life are the ones that should be part of your future. And they care for you and cheer you up without expecting anything in return.

It’s high time you stepped out of relationships and friendships that were only there to hang out on weekends.

If these personal bonds don’t add productively to your future self, it’s time to cut them off.

The reason why I am saying this is because these little mistakes will pull you back from your objectives of creating and living a fruitful life.

So decide today which hands you want to shake and which to hold.

Some things in life make you stumble. And others? They make you humble. Some things in life make you stumble. And others? They make you humble. Trust of my family, friends and colleagues: which has promised them a future full of opportunities for growth and a work culture they can call their home. But how did I win it? By Self-Belief.
